They aren't related. However, apparently in south Florida you're racist if you use the word "hoodlum" because to black people that refers to the "Hood" which is associated with being poor, which is associated with being black, which makes it racist. I made that a run on sentence to point out how exasperating and stupid that logic is. They argue that it's true, their is no dictionarial definition for the word being racist, but in context we all know hoodlums means black ...

i've always had this issue of needing sleep, for a few months now. i got myself in situations that i knew would render me with as little sleep as possible. but i always thought i'd find ways to compromise with whatever situation i'm in and get some sleep. somehow, i've been able to pull it off. for years now. except these few weeks. things just ran down like a landslide. work has been busier and school has been throwing in all homeworks and projects and quizzes since finals are coming up. ...
