It looks like Jiraiya is in ROUGH spot, it seems like He used what seemed like his most powerful technique, and Pain seems to be so unfased by everything that Pain does.

I'd Give Jiraiya one or two more chapters, and he's as good as dead, if he doesn't escape.

I think it's Jiraiya's time to die... sure he was cool and powerful but now his purpose is over. If he doesn't die I'm going to be disappointed in Kishimoto-sensei...

well....i said this once the fight started jaraiya's gonna do some damage cuz he's gonna die......so pein will get a little weaker but jaraiya will certainly die.....

I have said those exact same words on this forums for months...

And I agree, Jiraiya will do some damage, no one dies in this series without doing something (Cept you Asuma, Dosu, Zaku, that other sound girl, Kazekage of the 4th, and...)

yea....maybe more like four because this sets up the battle between naruto and pein (whenever that is)....but it will happen seeing how pein has to capture naruto and naruto will now have a reason to defeat pein other than he is a member of akatsuki....he killed Jaraiya....the guy that taught him the rasengan...and trained him for two and a half years....so there will be emotion to the battle no doubt....and its gonna be the sasuke naruto fight of the shippuuden series in my opinion...

It looks like he's probably gonnaa die, but I don't think it's over yet. Surely, as strong as Ma and Pa are, they still have over Kage-level jutsus to use, and maybe Ma knows some kind of toad regenerating jutsu for Jiraiya's arm.

..Or he could summon Gama and get out of there.

Heh, thanks. I just really don't want Jiraiya to die :(. I also thought that perhaps Tsunade will show up, either somehow use a medical jutsu that we haven't seen to repair his arm, help him, or (after he's dead) revive him. Ionno.

Which will be Kakashi, then he will die by Kabuto (This is in the new timeskip of course after they kill off Pein too) and Naruto will defeat Kabuto and be named the 8th Hokage.

He is, he just gained all of Orochimaru's jutsu, and the scene where Kakashi sealed Sasuke he stood up to Orochimaru, and afterwards he said "What was I thinking just then, I could have never beaten him"

Which means he can now probably not stand a chance against Kabuto.
